Historical Home Office
We believe that everyone should have a space that helps them remember who they are and surrounds them with what they love. Bookcases full of rare books are coveted these days and are an essential part of this accountant’s passion for lost eras.
The Shelving
The first order was to feature his long endeared collections of Presidential biographies, Mitchener novels, and other rare books based in history, spirituality, and leadership. The secret to attractively arranging them began with removing the covers and collating them by topic in stacks where titles can easily be read; and then dotting the shelves with other pieces based on his interesting hobby life, including a crowning drone.
The Details
Sherwin Williams Stonybrook is the backdrop and frequently coveted by those attending meetings in the room. Lined custom linen drapes provide privacy for working late hours. After his own heart, we added wall decor representing his plans to one day purchase a horse ranch in the Texas Hill Country when he can finally hang his accounting hat for good!

"I appreciated that my wife wanted to give me a nice home study after Covid sent us home from the office. But I was worried about hiring a designer and spending the money. Liz made a detailed budget that we agreed upon before doing any work and she kept us abreast of our spending. Liz made the space very personal and tailored without breaking the bank and used all the things that are important to me. As concerned as I was about the money, what I didn’t expect is how much I would appreciate the fact that I was surrounded by things that truly reflect who I am and what I value. That’s worth a lot more than the money we spent. Thanks, Liz!”
